Real-Time Transcription
See a live transcript as your meeting unfolds.
Ringo transcribes your meeting in real time, so you can follow along and catch anything you miss — even while you're talking.
How it works
During a recording, audio streams directly from your Mac to our transcription provider. The audio is transcribed and the text is streamed back to Ringo within a second or two.
The audio never passes through Ringo's own servers — it goes directly to the transcription provider and only the resulting text is stored.
Viewing the transcript
The live transcript appears in the recording panel while a meeting is active. You can scroll back through it at any time during the recording.
After the meeting, the full transcript is available in the note view, below the AI-generated summary.
Transcription accuracy
Transcription quality depends on:
- Audio clarity — a good microphone and low background noise improve accuracy significantly
- Speaking pace — very fast speech or strong accents may reduce accuracy
- Number of speakers — Ringo handles multiple speakers but doesn't always distinguish them by name
Language support
Ringo supports transcription in multiple languages. You can set your preferred language in Settings → Language.
If transcription quality is consistently poor, see Transcription Issues for troubleshooting steps.
